" 'What I believe' is a process of the intellect, not a finality."
The Tlingits have been in southeastern Alaska for over 10,000 years. They are a people who live in the thin strip between the mountains and the sea, and take their living from the sea. About 45 years ago, this inlay design (in Fossil Ivory) was found on the front of a shaman's wooden box of secret things. It represents a primitive key to the secrets enclosed. We produced the design by inlaying the key (tan Mammoth Ivory) between two pieces of Fossil Walrus Ivory, beautifully graded from white to black. We made it with a full bezel and Sterling Silver back. 1 1/2 inch high, 1 inch wide. See what kinds of power this striking Talisman unlocks for you!

Complete with Sterling Silver or Gold-Filled chain.

Fossil Ivory Color Charts

Below are the available colors of our fossil ivories. Our high quality fossilized ivories have been reclaimed from the ground after sharing the earth for up to 30 millennia! Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
