If you need this ivory knife in a hurry, then don't worry it opens with lightning speed. There is an opening in the blade instead of a nail nick that makes it easy to open. There is an separate locking mechanism for the blade and the marlinspike. When your fingers are tired, the folding knife has a shackle slot in the blade as well as stainless bail for a tether. It's designed with German stainless steel. It's a quality fossil ivory knife and will be there for you when needed no matter what the circumstances.
It comes with a zippered case for long term storage or a genuine leather belt sheath. Open knife shown scrimshawed with a power yacht's portrait. Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified.
