"It is better to die on your feet, than to live on your knees."
The Athapascan split into three distinct groups: i) the Northern Athapascans, who lived in the interior of Alaska, ii) the Pacific Athapascans, who settled in western British Columbia, Washington state and northern California, and iii) the Southern Athapascans, who migrated south and who became the Navajo and Apache peoples in southwest America.
The Pacific Athapascans made extensive use of both marine and inland resources. Thus our Pacific Athapaskan Earrings I
, which are similar to earrings found in the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, are made with an iridescent blue/green fresh water pearl that sits below two graduated tan mammoth ivory beads - all separated by Sterling Silver beaded spacers.
Available in Sterling Silver French earwires.
