"Imperial self beyond self that I call my soul, climb up into the crow's nest; look out over the changing ocean of my life, and shout down to me whither to change my course."
This intricate Amulet is full of the interesting and exquisite details that are found in ancient northern Siberian Coast Amulets and spiritual embroidery of the peoples of the Chukchi Territories that are so close to Alaska across the Bering Strait. The 4000 year old Fossil Walrus Ivory shown (collected in the Chukchi Territories) has two startlingly different complexions - A tan crystalline matrix supports a solid creamy ivory top that disappears under the Sterling Silver or 14KT Solid Yellow Gold bezel. Choose your type and color of Fossil Ivory below. Both front and back of the Fossil Walrus Ivory are visible below the bezel and one of our beautiful deep blue/green opals fixes the eye, representing the Northern Lights. (Each freeform opal is a little different in shape.) A stunning Amulet probably designed as protection against spirits in the northern sky. 1 1/2 inches high, 1 inch wide. You'll get no end of interest in this amulet every time you wear it!

Fossil Ivory Color Charts

Below are the available colors of our fossil ivories. Our high quality fossilized ivories have been reclaimed from the ground after sharing the earth for up to 30 millennia! Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
