"None who have always been free can understand the terrible fascinating power of the hope of freedom to those who are not free."
The time-honored Trapper
folding knife has become an icon of the American wilderness. We carry two superb steel Trappers: Henckels and Case.
With three centuries of fine knifemaking as history, the firm of Henckels in Solengen, Germany is in an excellent position to bring us one of the finest American Trapper folding knives - and they put this reputation on the line with the Henckels logo on every blade. This knife features high carbon Solengen steel blades for easy sharpening and great edge-holding ability. Brass liners, of course, nickel silver bolsters and stainless steel pins, as you would expect in this fine knife.
Our Case Trapper features stainless steel bolsters and pins, and brass liner. The blades are forged from high-carbon stainless steel, and hold an edge longer than conventional steels. In addition, every Case blade is honed by hand. The Case "XX" stamp harkens back to the days when the blades were tempered twice, and an "X" was put on the pan after each tempering. It is a mark knifeowners and collectors rely on for quality.
Each has two blades and is 4 1/8 inches closed. Both come with a genuine leather vertical belt sheath. Shown with Crystalline brown Fossil Walrus ivory. Included is a hand-etched scrimshaw design and initials, name or date. Both are world class knives you will be proud to own or give as a gift.
As an option, we will scrimshaw an etching of a ship of your choice, or your own boat (sail or power)on one side - Just email or snailmail us a picture.
As shown in Options, scrimshaw and personalization not available on some Dark Fossil Ivories without Light Ivory Inlay.
