"Too much safety is abhorrent to the nature of a human being."We designed our Small custom Fixed Blade Skinner for those who prefer to use and carry a smaller knife. (Also perfect for women and boys.) Made with cryogenically-tempered 8A stainless steel, this knife has a front nickel silver bolster. Between the Fossil Walrus Ivory and the metal, we added a bright red liner for contrast. For this knife we chose a beautiful piece of rare Blue/Brown and Gray Fossil Walrus Ivory. Beautiful burling! 6 5/8 inches overall length with a mirror finish 3 1/4 inch hollow ground blade.

Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
