Product Description
With Genuine Leather Belt Sheath or Zippered Storage Case
"If one is lucky a solitary fantasy can totally transform one million realities."The rarest of Fossil Ivories Blue Walrus! We have only a very few pieces, and use some of these precious pieces for this knife. The ivory shown in the picture has very strong veins of Blue set in a Peach background color. ( The ivory on a knife you order will not have the peach background. If you would like the peach nackground, please email us, since this background is extremely rare.)This Fossil Ivory is gorgeous, so we went one step further. We match its color by inserting a piece of turquoise between it and the bolster. We then relieve the edges of the turquoise to resist breakage. Brass liners, nickel-silver bolsters and pins and a cryogenically-hardened stainless steel blade make this an altogether pleasing and durable folder.
Two lengths available: 3 inches closed, with a 2 inch lockback blade, and 4 Inches closed, with a 2 1/2 Inch lockback blade.
As an added option, you may add a hand-filed Vine and Roses backspring to your knife as shown in the inset. (Note inset is shown with oosik ivory.).
Any collector will be thrilled to have one of these knives!
Fossil Ivory Color Charts
Below are the available colors of our fossil ivories. Our high quality fossilized ivories have been reclaimed from the ground after sharing the earth for up to 30 millennia! Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
