Product Description

"Fishing is something between a sport and a religion. "
Our scrimshaw Fossil Ivory partially-serrated filet knife is the finest filet knife we have ever made. It has a 7 inch long blade which has partial serratio for 2 inches for cutting through bone and tough scales. The blade is made from 440C stainless stell, a favorite of knifemakers, so it will retain its sharpness and easily take an edge. Overall length is 12 inches. The guard is nickel silver. It sports both a lined thong hole and a spiffy red liner!

We added Graded Crystalline Fossil Walrus Ivory scales. This is not only a sturdy tool you will love, but it is an heirloom knife you will want to show off and pass on to your children! (Click on picture for larger view.) Comes with either a zip-up, soft-sided, padded storage case, or a genuine leather sheath. This custom knife makes a magnificent gift for any fisherman or knife collector.

Personalize this collector's heirloom piece - We will hand etch up to 9 letters or initials on the ivory at no extra charge. You may also choose to have us etch one of our designs (shown below) on the ivory. As an added option, we will etch a picture of your own fishing boat, fish or wildlife.

Any fisherman will love to use a personalized heirloom filet knife that has an etching of his/her own boat or favorite fish!

Fossil Ivory Color Charts

Below are the available colors of our fossil ivories. Our high quality fossilized ivories have been reclaimed from the ground after sharing the earth for up to 30 millennia! Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
