"Yes'm, old friends is always best, 'less you can catch a new one that's fit to make an old one out of."
Sarah Orne Jewett

An heirloom piece that you will be proud to own or give as a gift - our R.R. single blade gentleman's folder has an elegant single drop point blade made from random pattern San Mai Damascus steel...And that's not all - The bolsters are also Damascus steel! So you get the beautiful and distinctively-Damascus patterns both on the blade and on the bolster!(Just click on the picture for a larger view.)

The Damascus patterns are produced by acid etching after forging of 16 layers of spring steel over both sides of a carbon steel core. (33 layers in total.)

Damascus blades got their name because the patterns on the steel resemble the patterns in the damask cloth also being made in Damascus.

This is a lock back folder with a 2 1/2 inch blade.

This folding knife is an absolute joy to look at and use! Absolutely no play in the blade and very well made! All stainless liner, random pattern san mai Damascus blade, and easy, smooth opening/closing.

Choose the very knife you see pictured, or choose your fossil ivory and color. You will give this knife a premier location in your collection. Shown with Black Intrusion Ivory.

In any fossil ivory you choose, you won't be able to wait to display this knife! Choose your scrimshaw etching and personalization. A perfect gift or heirloom!

Comes with soft zippered collector's storage case.

Below are the available colors of our fossil ivories. Our high quality fossilized ivories have been reclaimed from the ground after sharing the earth for up to 30 millennia! Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
