"Cooking should never be frantic or angry or rushed because the most important ingredient is the spirit."
Our
American Santoku combines beauty, efficiency and durability in a tool that you will not only love to use, but you will love to see hanging on your kitchen wall!
The Santoku is an old Japanese cutting tool especially designed to chop and cut vegetables. Our
American Santoku is an improved version!
The blade is curved slightly less to give a fuller, better purchase on the food. Its 6" blade is .070" thin and is made flat-ground from 8A "Super Steel." It will keep its edge a very long time and is easy to sharpen when necessary!
We designed the handle to be a joy to use and a pleasure to look at! Bright-grained Bocolo wood and fossil walrus ivory are separated by a strip of contrasting African Blackwood. Handle is 4" long and overall length is 10 3/4". Handle is fastened with 3 1/8" and 1 1/4" mosaic pins, rather than simple rivets!
Comes with a soft zippered storage case.
Truly, anyone who loves beautiful and durable kitchen tools will appreciate our
American Santoku.
