Reversible Arctic Amber and Fossil Ivory Teardrop Talisman
"Choice is the essence of what I believe to be human." Liv Ullman
Most of us think that Amber comes only from the Baltic region, or from the Dominican republic, but deposits of amber have been found well north of the Arctic circle - on the island of Spitsbergen, just east of Greenland, and on the Alaskan Arctic Coastal Plain.
Early native Americans made use of amber for Amulets and Talismans. In particular, they used found amber to represent the eys of doll spirits.
We have put together two msterials used by Native American Arctic Shamans to call forth helpful spirits - Fossil Walrus Ivory and Arctic Amber into a simple, but eloquent Reversible Teardrop Talisman. One side shows only a 4000 year old piece of mocha-colored fossil walrus ivory, and the other side as Arctic Amber. 1 1/4 inch high, 1/2 inch wide. A very spiritual and interesting Talisman.
Comes complete with a Sterling Silver chain.
