Scrimshaw Fossil Walrus

Ancient Ivories Studios
This is an exquisitely etched Fossil Walrus chunk with beautiful color. It shows a Chesapeake Bay Skipjack, one of the last working boats in America's waters, rounding the octagonal Thomas Point Shoals Lighthouse at sunset. One of the most beautiful scenes on Chesapeake bay.

Set on a hand-turned base of zebrawood with attachment via scrolled Sterling Silver.

The ivory measures 4 1/2 inches from side-to-side and 2 inches high. 3 inches high on base.

This is a beautiful dislay piece any collector would be proud to have. Signed by Marvin M. Cohen.
