Handcrafted Dragon Spoon Sterling Silver and Mammoth Ivory

A Sterling Silver and Fossil Ivory serving spoon totally handcrafted in our studio. The bell-shaped bowl is appliqued with a ferocious Sterling Silver winged dragon (see inset photo). Two rails of Sterling Silver lead from the bowl to the 4 inch triangular-shaped, fully bezeled grip. The grip also has a solid Sterling Silver back. This is a very medieval piece that will make you feel as though you are sitting at a medieval banquet! A wonderful gift for any spoon, Fossil Ivory collector, or medieval times fancier. The overall length is 8 inches, and the bowl is 1 3/4 inches long. Your choice of Ivory. Shown with Medium Tan Fossil Mammoth Ivory.

Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
