Product Description

With Zippered Soft Carrying/Storage Case

"Don't be obsessed with the idea that there is only one possibility. If you think so, there is only one."

The graceful curved blade of our High-Carbon Damascus blade makes this knife not only very fuctional, but also one of the prettiest knives we've ever made!

Layers of hard and softer high carbon steel are carefully placed, forged, manipulated and etched to produce the striking Twist Pattern Damascus steel for the 3 inch blade of this knife. (Please click on the picture to better see the gorgeous Damascus pattern.) The welded full tang is mild steel to keep the cost of this 7 1/4 inch overall knife reasonable.

We complemented the oosik Ivory with a red liner and gorgeous Mokume-Gane bolsters.

Now for the beautiful bolsters... They are made in our studio by using the traditional Japanese technique of Mokume Gane, in which 5 layers of copper-colored copper are layered with 5 layers of brass-colored copper, and 5 layers of nickel-silver, all of which are forged, pounded, filed, etched-in-acid, and polished to produce a composite metal of beautiful Bird's Eye design.

This will become the prize of any collection. (It's also very functional, stable and tough!)

What more could you want at such a reasonable price?

Comes with a soft zippered carrying and storage case.

Fossil Ivory Color Charts

Below are the available colors of our fossil ivories. Our high quality fossilized ivories have been reclaimed from the ground after sharing the earth for up to 30 millennia! Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
