This knife is very easy to open when it's needed in a hurry - a large opening in the 3 1/2 inch blade replaces the nail nick - easy to grab and open! The blade, as well as the marlinspike has an independent locking mechanism. All stainless steel construction with a substantial stainless bail for a tether, as well as a shackle slot in the blade, (for when your fingers are tired or cold and just can't do the job by themselves!) means that your Myerchin can always be trusted to be there and ready when you need it with only a minimum of care.
This superb scrimshaw folding knife even comes with its own genuine leather belt sheath or soft zippered long-term storage case.
