Product Description

COLLECTORS TAKE NOTE! In February 2007, Camillus Knives, in business in New York since 1876, went out of business. These knives are amongst the last made in that facility - Each is marked "Camillus New York U.S.A." This is an instant collector's item! We have only a few.

"Strange the affection that clings to inanimate objects."
L. E. Landon

A 3-blade pocketknife was one of those wonderfully indispensible tools carried by every man during the last century. It just makes us feel complete when we reach into our pocket for something else, and find it is there - Especially so when it is a fine American heirloom folder with Fossil Ivory scales. The warmth of the Ivory makes it more your own every time you use it.

Our Camillus 3-blade folder measures 3 7/8 inches closed.
The blade shapes have been chosen for maximum utility - A 3 inch clip blade (with its long sharp point used for piercing and cutting) is flanked by two 2 inch blades: One is a Wharncliffe - The pointed Wharncliffe with its flat sharp edge, can be used for almost any job, from peeling an onion to sharpening a stick. The other is a drop point, useful for cutting along its entire strong, long belly edge. Its gentle curve also lends style and grace.

With stainless steel bolsters and brass liner, this heirloom knife will be passed down through the generations with pride.

Of course, it comes with your choice of either a genuine leather vertical belt sheath, or a zippered, soft. collectors' pouch.

Included is a hand etched scrimshaw design and initials, name or date. The perfect personalized gift!

Shown with Fossil Walrus Ivory-Light.

As an option, we will scrimshaw an etching of a ship of your choice (sail or power)on one side animals, people, mermaids or a logo.- Just email or snailmail us a picture.

Below are the available colors of our fossil ivories. Our high quality fossilized ivories have been reclaimed from the ground after sharing the earth for up to 30 millennia! Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes.
